This STCU branch built in 2019 with a drive-thru is now a local landmark, distinguished by a fantastic blend of modern architecture and North Idaho character. Modern elements include a low slope shed roof, bold exposed structural elements such as steel beams, and a skewed footprint. A full height curtainwall on the building’s west side provides a direct line of sight to the area’s feature destination: Schweitzer Mountain. North Idaho charm is also on full display with real granite masonry cladding and fireplace, craftsman woodwork including exposed glulam beams and tongue and groove decking, and rustic appearing fiber cement siding.
